Covid-19 Update
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to The Black Robin, and have been working hard to ensure that your time here with us will be as safe and enjoyable as possible. We have taken considerable steps to put safety measures in place and with your support and understanding we hope that popping down the pub for a pint wont feel too different from the old days.
We are lucky to have lots of separate spaces both inside and outside, and have a plan on how to best utilise the space with your safety in mind.

Extra measures
The last few months have been strange and difficult times indeed. Things wont go back to ‘normal' for a while – and that’s ok. But, we hope, once we all adjust to these new guidelines, that going out for a family meal or a drink with friends will once again be an enjoyable part of life.

What will this look like?
- Entrance will be via the front door, operating a one-way system with all guests leaving via the patio doors and exiting via the decking. Please follow the arrows.
- We have sanitiser stations at contact points and we respectfully request everyone to use them.
- Staff serving tables will wear see through face visors for now so you can still see their smiling faces. This is social distance with social solidarity!
How will it operate?
- Reservations only as we establish our new layout based on significantly smaller numbers to focus on safety for all. Booking in advance means we can manage numbers and scheduled arrivals.
- Booking information- we have been asked by the Government to collect contact data for 3 weeks. We will require your phone number and / or email. Most of our customers are used to this anyway.
- Spaced arrival slots - we have practiced this during takeaway’s and it has worked well.
- Table service only – or drinks and bar snacks can be ordered via our Round App. Please do not approach the bar.
- Payment – we will be accepting both cash and card payments.
- Toilets, once at your table we will ask that you do not walk around the pub unless you need to use the facilities, one in, one out.
- Children must remain seated for now & supervised by parents at all times while on the premises with regards to safety and social distancing.
Extra measures
- All staff have undergone Covid 19 and service procedure training and we have undergone a Company Risk Assessment.
- During closure we have deep cleaned the entire building.
- We have changed our opening and closing times so we can operate a smaller team. This means we have created a ‘work bubble’ with the same members on every shift throughout the week.
